Last Friday, I attended one of the largest design festivals in the world. agIdeas offers an extraordinary program of events that celebrate design excellence and promotes the value of design driven innovation.

Throughout the festival there are a series of events for designers who are seeking inspiration, for designers emerging in the industry to explore the possibilities of careers in design, for companies looking to embrace design as an economic driver, for design researchers to share knowledge, for primary school children to understand design and become the leaders of a design savvy generation and for members of the general public interested in design, innovation and creativity.

My classmates and I attended a night where an array of designers from different countries brought forward their work to inspire us all.
Once designer in particular by the name of Ben Parker caught my attention. Ben Parker and Paul Austin are the founders of a company called MadeThought. It is acclaimed for its work in brand identity and development, art direction, packaging, print and interactive design for an impressive list of clients, ranging from esoteric luxury and lifestyle brands to art institutions. They've designed products for Adidas, Samsung, Stella McCartney, Jamie Oliver, Yves Saint Laurent, Established & Sons, Reiss, Harrods and Nike. Paul and Ben were named ‘Graphic Designers of the Year' by Blueprint Magazine (UK) in 2004 and invited to join Alliance Graphique Internationale in 2010.
This Designer, along with many others were very inspiring and it will certainly not be the last time I go to agIdeas!
